MER Equipment, a division of Marine Engines & Repair Co Inc. has been providing quality Marine Propulsion Engines and Diesel Generators since 1964. We got our start building custom Marine engines and generators for the commercial fishing fleets and processors here in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. Among one of the first companies in the United States to develop marine packages utilizing the robust and versatile Isuzu Diesel Engine; MER quickly established itself as the Premier Provider of Isuzu Marine Diesel Engines and Generators for the Western United States and Alaska. The combination of the quality made Isuzu engine and proven reliability of the Marathon and Newage Generator kept fishermen busy doing what they do best; fishing and not repairing equipment.
Through the years, MER has developed generator and propulsion packages to suit the needs of fishermen, construction sites, and residential users all over the United States. Within the last few years we’ve expanded our generator and propulsion line-up to include Heavy Duty John Deere Marine and Industrial Engines as well as the very popular Yanmar Marine and Industrial Engines. The addition of these two very well made engines allows us to provide generator packages that range from 4KW to over 300 KW and propulsion ranges from 20 horse power to over 900 horsepower. Are you looking for transmission parts or a rebuilt exchange transmission? Our parts department has one of the most complete inventories of Hurth, ZF, Twin Disc and Borg Warner Parts on the West Coast as well as a generous inventory of rebuilt marine transmissions and drive components. MER is also a stocking dealer for Bushings Inc., Korfund, and R&D, adjustable anti-vibration isolation mounts.
We also have a full line of exhaust silencers and mufflers manufactured by Cowl, EM, Nelson, Donaldson and Phillips & Temro as well as accessories to mount and plumb these silencers into your application. Need help sizing an exhaust system for your application? Please give us a call; our computer sizing application takes the guesswork out of the procedure. Having problems with diesel exhaust smell or emission gases? DCL and Minex exhaust purifiers can take away that smell and reduce the exhaust emissions to negligible levels.
